A church for every story

Rev. Martin Lukeba is the founder of Emmanuel Evangelical International Mission, following his years of service in operations and different evangelical and humanitarian missions in the province of Kivu in the eastern DRC alongside his Father, Mgr Simon Lukeba Mulamba, who was the then Regional President (1972 – 1998) of the “Églises du Christ au Zaïre”, a national Organization uniting all the protestant churches and missions of the DRC.

In 1998, Pastor Martin received a missionary vision and calling, responding to the divine order left by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ : Proclaim the good news to all nations, beyond the DRC, of God's love for all, of salvation in Jesus Christ and the full and eternal life accessible to all in the Kingdom of God ! (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19-20). Hence, Martin and his family decided to move to Nairobi, Kenya inorder to pursue ministry studies where he was ordained as a Pastor in 2001.

In 2003, with a handful of families and friends from different backgrounds, countries and walks of life led by Pastor Martin, a new church plant in Nairobi was born, all witnesses to God's omnipresence in their lives hence "Emmanuel" meaning God with us, and all dreaming of a church where everyone would have their place and discover God's love. Emmanuel Evangelical International Mission has since experienced remarkable growth and formed partnerships all aiming to better people's lives as they come to know of God's love.

In 2020, as part of the establishment of new assemblies in Europe, and after years of home fellowships, a new church plant opened its doors in Port Jérôme-sur-Seine, Normandy France : EGLISE EVANGÉLIQUE EMMANUEL - INTERNATIONALE France. Our goal is to share the truth of God's love as we walk in the freedom and joy of eternal life that is made available to us through Jesus Christ.

Animated by this vision, we pursue our mission in the heart of Normandy and beyond with a holistic and integrated commitment, aiming to serve people in body, soul and spirit, through various local and international programs and activities.

Our desire is to contribute to the purpose fulfillment in God, of people, families and the community, without distinction of origin, culture or life path.
